FAQ

Dogs should be groomed every 6-8 weeks. Any longer then the risk of knots/matts is increased and the possibility of having to be taken short at the next groom is much higher.

A knot is when hair is tangled together but is easy to brush out (similar to your own hair). A matt is when the fur is so tightly interwoven that it cannot be brushed out. Matts hurt the dog by pulling the skin, especially between the legs when walking. The only way to remove a matt is to clip them off by getting a clipper blade underneath it.

The price of a groom may seem excessive to some. A groomer will handle every part of your dogs’ body – from nose to tail! We often see things that aren’t seen by owners and have been known to alter owners to conditions that could prove life threatening.

If your dog has fleas it will be given a flea wash, which is an additional charge on top of the groom price (you will be notified via either text or phone call to advise of this). It will be kept away from any other dogs on the premises to reduce the spread of infection. You will be called to collect once the groom is complete and then the salon will be flea treated immediately.
